ProCat-Cat registry

Welcome to ProCat-Cat registry. ProCat-cat registry is an open cat registry and as available in the Internet in several languages (in English, French, German and Finnish) it offers the potential for an effective international transmission of cat information. Anyone anywhere in the world can add almost unlimited information of cats to the registry - you can also choose to limit the visibility of the data for only selected other users.

ProCat-cat registry offers a very wide range of functions to use cat information, for example to study background with pedigrees, different factors (inbreeding coefficient and ancestor loss coefficient), fenotype and health information for any cat in the registry with versatile search functions. Application is not limited only to cats in the registry, information can be used in planning in many ways - comparing cats and also creating breeding plans for several generations to come. And what's best, your plans will remain, secret in the registry, as long as you want to keep them.

By comparing the cats you also get information about the colors and patterns possible to descendants - including the likelihood of the occurence. Possibilities of colors and patterns etc. is calculated using the genotype of cat, using the cat's own data but also the information added to cat's parents and offspring and results of DNA tests. Genotype therefore provides a much more extensive information than fenotype of the cat of what properties the cat passes on.

As a breeder, you can of course also indicate kittens for sale or for breeding purposes to others - even with photos. Sure, you can take advantage of ProCat also in your home pages - by adding a link to cat information or pedigree in ProCat-cat registry to the cat in your homepages.

The more cats and the wider information has been added to the registry, the greater the benefit to all users - it is up to you. Check out the services the registry offers (see help), please register and provide information on cats with other users. Encourage others to add their cats also to the registry - so all will benefit more! You can also set up groups, whose members have increased access to cat information - this is also possible with user groups.
