Alphabetic order by name is used by default.

The average of inbreeding and ancestor loss coefficient for all cats which fulfill the search criteria is calculated and shown in the end of result list.

Information of 25 cats is displayed in one page according to selected sort order. Result list is divided to many pages when needed. In the top and bottom of result list is information of cats displayed in the page and total number of results and links for selecting the previous and next page or selecting a specific result page. Search criteria and how to use them

Name

You can search cats with part of name - either with start of name or with a string in the name. By default cats which name starts with the given string are fetched. If you add %-sign in the beginning of name, also cats which name contains the given string are fetched. You can also give more than one string - every word is used as separate criteria but with given order in the name - name may contain characters or even words also between the given words. Also, you can replace parts of words by adding %-sign (replaces 0, 1 or many characters with any characters) or _-sign (replaces exactly one character with any character) in the middle of the word.

In ProCat-cat registry name does not contain tittels or country codes (cat's whole name is a combination of separately given tittels, country codes and the name). Don't use tittel or country code either as a search criteria.

Examples of how to use name as a search criteria:

Pet name

You can search cats with their pet names also - you'll get all cats which pet name contains the given string or strings - also %- or _-sign can be used (see Name)

Identification

You can search cats with identification information - for example register number or microchip number. It is possible to define many identification numbers to a cat. Identification search is a string search - given identification may be part of the register number and can exist anywhere in the number. Also in identification %- and _-signs can be used (see Name).

Sex

You can delimit the search to either males or females - sex is used as search criteria when parents of the cat are selected.

Breed

You can delimit search to certain breed by selecting a breed from the list. Breed is used as a search criteria when search is started from statistics page.

Search criteria related to fenotype (color, pattern, tail length etc.)

You can delimit search to specific color or extentional silver / golden, pattern, type of white patch, eye color, tail length or ear type by selecting a suitable option.

Blood group

You can also search with blood group by selecting the blood group from options.

Country information - original country or country where the cat lives

You can delimit your search to cats born in the original country or according to country where cat lives by selecting the country from options.

Test result / property

Properties which can be defined to the cat are listed in options. As search criteria options can be used to find cats to which the selected property is defined. Properties related to certain colors are added to cat information automatically when the cat information is saved to the registry. As the creator / user who adds cat information can select to whom the test result is shown, the test result is displayed only in Full information of the cat page if you have access to see the test result of property information.

Date of birth

Date of birth -search criteria has 2 dates - Starts and Ends - dates. Search criteria is defined by default if the search is started from Yearly statistics. Date is defined to 3 fields - day of month and month is selected from option list, year has to be written. You can leave day of month empty but month and year has to be given if the date is uesd as criteria.

You can use both dates - as between-criteria - or only one date as search criteria. The first date - Starts - borders the criteria so that all cats which birthdate is same or greater than given date, are fetched. The second date borders the criteria so that cats which don't have date of birth at all and cats which birthdate is smaller or the given date, are fetched as a result. If both dates are given, cats which have born between given dates are fetched.

Examples of using dates as search criteria:

Remember that you can also select sort order according to age - either sorting cats from Oldest to youngest (Old => young) or from youngest to old (Young => Old) - this option may be useful when dates are used as search criteria.

Search with parents

you can search offspring of a specified male of female by writing sire's name or dam's name to Sire or dam field. Full parent name does not have to be given but if many cats have a name which fulfill the given name, also all offspring for all different cats will be fetched.
